Global Church Forum 2020 gathers ministry and marketplace leaders around the world to tell how god is ‘doing a new thing’ in their local cultures

Attendees encouraged to explore: How is God calling me to serve where I am?

CHICAGO — Resource Global, an organization focused on developing the next generation of Christian marketplace leaders around the world, is convening an international panel of renowned Christian ministry and marketplace leaders for Global Church Forum 2020, Nov. 6-7, a first-of-its-kind 24-hour telling of how God is moving in unique ways globally.

In a year that has brought hardship and crisis, the 2020 Global Church Forum will gather ordinary people around the globe to tell about the extraordinary ways they are participating in God’s global mission. Emerging and experienced leaders will share how they are stepping out of their comfort zone to live and lead boldly for Christ in the context of their cultures.

Speakers include: author and thought leader Andy Crouch, Stanford Design Program’s Dave Evans, GRAB’s Ilaria Chan, Alpha International’s Tricia Neill and Pippa Gumbel, evangelist Sam Chan, RZIM’s Michael Ramsden, and many others.

Resource Global invites people to join the event in their time zone to explore: How might God be using the challenges of this unique season to accomplish a “new thing” in His global mission? And how might He use me to advance the Gospel?

Tommy Lee, President of Resource Global, said, “We’re doing this event because we work with leaders daily who are doing really courageous things, and the Church doesn’t know about it. There’s this long-standing idea that we need to do things a certain way because that’s how we’ve always done it, and it’s time we walk away from what is familiar and step into what God is calling us to.”

The Global Church Forum is being produced in partnership with the Wheaton College Center for Faith and Innovation, New Zealand’s University of Applied Research and Development, Northern Seminary’s Grow Center for Church and Mission, Faith Driven Entrepreneur, Faith Driven Investor and Crossworld.

“God’s ways, His vision, His mission is so vast,” said Lee. “Our hope is that people across the globe will hear how He is growing His kingdom, and be encouraged to step out of their comfort zones to follow Him.”

The event begins at 9 a.m. CST and features local voices across Africa, Southeast Asia, Oceania, Europe and North America. Attendees will be encouraged by thought leaders who are uniquely positioned to address God’s global mission from a truly global vantage point.

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. –Isaiah 43:19
