Bible Reading Plan: Women in the Bible

Women played a significant role in the Bible, and their stories have much to teach us about faith, perseverance, and the power of God’s love. By studying the lives of these women, we can gain a deeper understanding of the role God has for us in His kingdom. This Bible study plan is designed to help you explore the stories of women in the Bible and to grow in your own walk with God.

  • Week 1: Eve – Genesis 2-3
  • Week 2: Sarah – Genesis 11-23
  • Week 3: Ruth – Ruth 1-4
  • Week 4: Hannah – 1 Samuel 1-2
  • Week 5: Esther – Esther 1-10
  • Week 6: Mary, Mother of Jesus – Luke 1-2
  • Week 7: Mary Magdalene – Matthew 28:1-10, Mark 16:1-8, Luke 24:1-12, John 20:1-18
  • Week 8: Lydia – Acts 16:11-15
  • Week 9: Priscilla – Acts 18:1-4, 18-28; Romans 16:3-5; 1 Corinthians 16:19; 2 Timothy 4:19
  • Week 10: Phoebe – Romans 16:1-2

Prayer:

Father God, we thank you for the lives of the women in the Bible who have set an example of faith and obedience for us to follow. As we study their stories, we pray that you would open our hearts and minds to receive your wisdom and guidance. Help us to learn from their triumphs and mistakes, and to be inspired to live our lives in a way that honors you.

We pray that you would use this Bible study plan to deepen our understanding of your word and to draw us closer to you. May we be women who fear the Lord, who seek after your will, and who trust in your promises. Give us strength, courage, and perseverance as we journey through life, knowing that you are with us every step of the way.

In the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior, we pray, amen.
