Faith-based music publisher OCP now offers lower pricing, along with individual accompaniment libraries for its online resource, Breaking Bread Digital Music Library.

Created for parishes with a missal subscription of 50+ books, the digital library offers access to the songs found in Breaking Bread, Today’s Missal and Music Issue — providing one convenient location for music ministers to discover, download and share music among the parish’s ministry. Subscribers to the resource receive digital access to more than 2,400 keyboard, guitar and solo instrument accompaniments, more than 570 choral arrangements, along with psalm settings, ritual texts and over 900 MP3 recordings. To help music directors manage all of this content while planning the music for Mass, a subscription to the liturgy preparation site Liturgy.com is also included.

Subscriptions to Breaking Bread Digital Music Library start as low as $599/year, with pricing determined by the size of the parish.

Parishes may also opt to simply purchase specific accompaniment libraries, saving money in the process. These PDFs — keyboard, guitar and solo instrument accompaniments, psalm settings and choral arrangements — can still be shared with their musicians for use in the liturgy.

Plus, individual musicians can also buy their own music libraries for personal use — a cost-effective choice for solo music ministers and those ministering at multiple parishes.

“OCP is very proud of this first-of-its-kind digital music library,” says Wade Wisler, Publisher of OCP. “Since launching in 2015, it has been making ministry easier for parish music directors around the country. Now, thanks to new pricing and music libraries, this amazing online tool is more accessible and affordable than ever before. We know that during COVID-19, many parishes are striving to find safe, convenient new ways to distribute music and create worship aids. This resource does just that. Knowing that ‘liturgical worship is given a more noble form when it is celebrated in song,’ we hope that many communities will take advantage of it in order to maintain music as an integral part of their Sunday liturgies” (Musicam Sacram 5).

Music minister and liturgist Tom Tomaszek states, “We’ve been using Breaking Bread Digital Music Library from its launch. Our singers and instrumentalists love the online access and ability to manage their own music for rehearsals and Masses. It’s made my job much easier — especially in our current COVID-19 restricted access conditions.”

Music directors, choir directors and musicians interested in any of the new Breaking Bread Digital Music Library offerings can learn more at ocp.org/bbdml.
